Reaping the Fruits of One’s Labor

Reaping the Fruits of One’s Labor

It is fall and time for the harvest. I have a couple of quotes to share with you today about reaping what you sow. “Men give me credit for some genius. All the genius I have is this. When I have a subject in mind. I study it profoundly. Day and night it is before me. My mind becomes pervaded with it, the effort which I have made is what people are pleased to call the fruit of genius. It is the fruit of labor and thought.” Alexander Hamilton Secretary of the Treasury of the United States (1789-95), 1757-1804) This is us! We are laboring to be the best at what we do. We study, plan, work, plan some more. Advertise and market our business, strive to please our clients, and then we plan some more. So it should never be a surprise when it all starts to bear fruit. No surprise, when all our hard work begins to produce results and success. After all that is why the farmer plants a chop in the spring. Weeds it all summer, so there can be the harvest. The reward for the hard work, “ the fruits of his labor.” The next quote has a different slant. “You must get good at one of two things: planting in the spring or begging in the fall.” Jim Rohn, America’s foremost Business Philosopher. This may be the mind set of some others. They watch as others plan, work, and plan some more. They get distracted as others advertise, market their business, work to please their clients and plan. Yet, they are still surprised, when they do not reap a successful business. Your challenge: Plan for a bigger harvest next year. Having a good harvest is a combination of items.
